Select this check box if you will be adding USPS packages to the CMS Manifest. Examples of this include shipping packages via CMS’s integration with Endicia’s DAZzle software, or if you’ve been approved by your local post office to submit a printed manifest with your daily parcels.

Select the check box and type the shipment value that will trigger an insurance fee. For example, you might choose to insure packages valued at more than $100.

If you use Endicia, insurance will not be calculated when you print labels in Stealth mode.

Type the rate you will charge customers for insurance. For example, if your rate is "$.50 per $100" then a package valued at $500 would have an insurance fee of $2.50 added to the total invoice amount.

If desired, you can specify that the customer only be charged for insurance if the shipment value exceeds $100 by selecting the $100 option.

Enter the minimum weight required to send the package by Priority Mail. This has been 13 oz for some time, but if it changes, you can modify it here.

How much you want CMS to increase the actual USPS rate it calculates. This does not affect your cost to ship, only what you charge your customers for shipping and handling if that formula is based on the actual rate.

Endicia users can print USPS shipping labels for package pickup or drop-off on a later date. Type a value representing how many days in advance you typically print labels.

For example, if you normally process labels one day in advance of the ship date, you would enter a value of 1.

You might do this if you have an early morning pickup, so each morning’s pickup is for the previous day’s packages. USPS requires that the labels reflect the date of pickup, not preparation.

If you normally print labels on the ship date, but would like the option of printing in advance, enter a value of 0.

Once configured, the default date advance is displayed in red to the right of the Zone box on the Shipping Manifest screen. You can change the default value as needed for individual packages.

The following settings are only necessary if you’re approved to submit a printed USPS manifest with your packages.

This method of manifesting is done in lieu of printing postage but is largely obsolete now. It is far more common to use CMS's real time shipping integration with Endicia to print labels with postage on them, so no printed manifest is required.

This button opens the USPS Intra-BMC Zone/Local Zone screen. Use this screen to enter the zip code ranges serviced by your local Bulk Mail Center (BMC) or Auxiliary Service Facility (ASF).

This table displays published surcharges. To use a different surcharge amount, enter the Value to Use and select the Activated check box.
