Select this check box if you want multi-ship recipients to automatically be added as new customers in their own right.

Select this option if most of your customers are commercial buyers.

If you select this option, when the operator saves an order CMS checks the mailing, billing, and shipping addresses for discrepancies and displays a warning message if it finds them. The discrepancy may be correct, but this guards against inadvertently updating one address and forgetting to update the others.

Select the search criteria (for example, Person's Name or Customer Number) that operators most commonly use to locate a customer record. The Find Customer screen will open with this criteria selected by default, but the operator can select an alternative search criteria if necessary.

Selecting this check box allows you to attribute sales to original Source codes rather than to Ad Codes that prompt current orders. However, we generally recommend leaving this option unselected. You can obtain source code-based sales analyses through standard or customized CMS reports.

As the salesperson is often also the operator, selecting this option saves a bit of time and ensures that this information is recorded.

Enforces the selection of an Ad Code when the operator saves a completed order.

This option is helpful if most of your orders come from a particular source, such as the Internet, or if you process orders from different sources in batches.

If most of your orders come from a particular source, save time by setting that source as the default.

Select this check box to allow users to set arrival dates per item and/or per recipient.

If this check box is not selected, all items, and recipients on multi-ship orders, will default to the arrival date that is set for the entire order, and you will not be able to set a different arrival date for an item or a recipient in order entry.

Select this check box to enable cost comparisons and recommendations by CMS when a cheaper method of shipping can deliver by the selected arrival date. The lower cost recommendation is displayed as a package exception and you have the option to accept it or not.

• This option is only available in Arrival Date mode. See Operating in Arrival Date Mode for more information.

Select this check box to enable a prompted option to import a list of recipients when entering multi-ship orders.

Select this option if users commonly search for products in order entry by the description rather than by the product code. If you select this option, the cursor on the Items screen in order entry goes directly to the Description Search box rather than to the Product box.

This refers to the list of selected items on the Items screen in Order Entry. The default is to display the product code under Item Ordered. Select this check box to display the description instead.

This option adds a "quantity" (QTY) column to the Size/Color Matrix ("SKU grid") that is displayed when adding a sized item to an order. This is designed for wholesale companies, which would typically order multiple SKUs for the same item.

•  When this option is enabled,  no back order warning will be displayed if an operator adds an out of stock SKU to the order. The QTY field is next to the In Stock field in the SKU grid, so the operator will know at a glance if an item is back-ordered.

Normally, discontinued items continue to be displayed in the product selection list in Order Entry until they are out of stock. This allows you to discontinue a product as soon as you know you can't get any more, but  continue to sell the stock you have on hand.

Selecting this check box will prevent discontinued items from displaying at all, even if there is stock on hand.

This option displays customization information as hover text when you hold the cursor over a custom item on the View Invoice screen in Order Entry.

For example, if a customer orders 50 custom mugs and the operator enters the Custom text "Go Tigers!" on the Items screen, the words Customization: Go Tigers! will display as hover text over the item on the View Invoice screen. This allows the operator to confirm the customization with the customer as part of the order review.

Select this option and select a default price category (retail, wholesale, etc.) if you want to use a default price when an item has a price of $0.00 (no price has been entered for the item in product setup).

This option determines which field the cursor is in when the operator opens the Items screen in Order Entry.

Your choices are to operate in Fulfillment Date mode or in Arrival Date mode. Whichever mode you are in, CMS will calculate and display the counterpart date. So, if you are in Arrival Date mode and choose an arrival date, CMS will also display the date it will fulfill, and vice versa.

• You must operate in Arrival Date mode if you want CMS to always recommend the cheapest shipping method that will deliver a package by a selected arrival date.
  

Select this option to prevent the actual shipping cost (as opposed to your shipping and handling charge to the customer) from being displayed in the package grid.

Choose the shipping method you most commonly use. CMS will default to the selected method, but you can change the shipping method at any time.

Select this check box if your usual practice is to bill all items immediately rather than wait until they are fulfilled All items on the order have been allocated from stock.. You can change this election on the Money screen in order entry if necessary.

Saves time by reducing the frequency of the need to select a payment type during order entry.

Select this option to enable the Approve button on the Money screen in Order Entry. Without this you cannot perform real time approvals while orders are entered. You would instead only be processing approvals through the Batch Approvals section.

You can choose to refund shipping and handling on individual returns, but if this is a company policy selecting this option saves time.

When you click Save in order entry, CMS performs a number of checks to ensure the order is complete, including whether payment has been received. Select this check box if you do not want a "no payment received" warning displayed upon saving.

Select this option if you want your operators to be able to allocate stock for "Proforma" and "Temp Save" orders. 

Selecting this option activates the Allocate stock for this order now check box on the Saving an Order window:

• Although activated, the check box is not selected by default. The operator must select the check box to allocate stock.

Normally CMS prevents users from refunding more than was paid for a returned item.

On rare occasions you may wish to override this protection: you may wish to refund an item's undiscounted price, even though it was purchased at a discount. Select this check box to suppress the built-in protection and enable this practice.

Select this check box if your company has a retail storefront. This adds a Point of Sale tab to the Order Entry Options setup window, which you can complete after you've completed the General tab.

Select whether saving an order with the F10 key saves it as a completed order, or prompts the operator to select a Save As type (completed, pro forma, or temporary).
